Heating Your Swimming Pool With Solar Energy

Heating your swimming pool with solar energy is a great idea not only for protecting the environment but also for protecting your bottom line and the cost you pay for heating your pool in the summer months when it is in use. Heating resources can be expensive whether they are produced by gas or by electrical means. Water is hard to heat when there is enough to fill an entire pool and that just means you are spending more money when the water temperature of your pool dips below your desired level. If you are looking for another way to save some money on heating costs and protect your pool at the same time then solar pool covers may just be the answer you are looking for.

Solar covers are meant to be placed over the top of your pool when it is not in use. Solar rays will hit the cover and the heat from those rays will be transferred from the cover to the water of the pool thus heating the pool water at no cost. On cloudy days or at night, the cover will trap the warmth of the water in the pool not allowing it to escape and will thereby allow the pools heat to cool more slowly than it would if the pool was not covered at all. Solar pool covers are simple devices that can be operated by just one person if the solar cover is kept on a roll that allows easy use. Simply unroll the solar cover over the pool at night and re-roll it when you want to use it.

Solar cover are also great for keeping everyday environmental objects like leaves, dirt, and animals out of your pool as well. Animals like ducks and geese love to land in pools as they are private and secluded. These animals will obviously cause health concerns by dirtying the pool and making a cleaning mandatory. Solar covers will alleviate this problem and will help in keeping your pool cleaner for longer, requiring less attention. Who wants to drag out the giant vacuum and the vacuum hose everyday? Just use the solar cover the way it is meant to be used and take advantage of the different benefits having one provides.

Homemade Acne Treatment

Getting Rid of Acne

There are two effective ways to get rid of acne. If you have acne, then go for some homemade acne treatments that will transform your life.

First of all, double check what you eat, and cut out any greasy, fatty foods that can make the condition worse. Try and eat more healthily by eating more raw vegetables, fresh fruits and sipping tisanes (also, “ptisan”) or “herbal teas” instead of too much caffeine.

Oatmeal is believed to be very good for the inside of your body as well as applying it as a mask for dealing with acne. You need to make an oatmeal mask, and apply to the affected areas once a week, and see what a difference it will make to your skin. Take two tablespoons of good quality oatmeal, add four drops of tea tree oil, and one teaspoon of milk powder and one table spoon of milk. Mix it thoroughly in the blender and apply to the face for twenty minutes. Rinse with cold water and moisturize the usual way.

Residential Loans

The foreclosure crises have created a lending crises. Residential loans are hard to obtain. Lenders require much more from the borrower.

Lenders want the borrower to have more money for a down payment. The days of easy loan qualifying and getting 100% of the money needed to purchase a house are gone. Now when lenders request 3%, 10%, or 20% of the sales price, the lenders mean funds easily verified by a bank statement, not a 2nd loan on the property.

Lenders require the borrower to have a higher FICO score. Lenders are not willing to loan to people who have trouble paying their bills on time.

Property values are declining in most, if not all, of the U.S. That means the appraised value of the home may be less than the purchase price. If the appraised value is less than the purchase price, the borrower must pay the difference or get the seller to lower the price.

Patio Umbrella Light Systems

So, you’re looking for an outdoor lighting solution but don’t want to hassle with some of the more complicated light equipment out there. Fortunately, if you have a patio umbrella, lighting up your yard can be really easy. An easy to use lighting system called patio umbrella lights allows umbrella owners to attach lights to either the pole or the veins of the umbrella. These lights provide plenty of luminescence to the table or seating area underneath, allowing you to use your backyard any time of the day. These systems are designed to be easy to use and are weather resistant. The light mounts blend in perfectly with your patio umbrella and can be left on at all times.

Patio umbrella lights come in two different forms. The first is the kind that mounts to the umbrella pole. A circular light pod with multiple LED light bulbs mounts to the umbrella pole. The umbrella needs to be removed from the mount so the light can be slid up the pole to the top. The light pod sits just under the umbrella veins. The circular design of the device allows light to shine down on the table underneath. It provides the perfect environment for dining, lounging and conversing. Having a light mounted right to the umbrella eliminates the need to keep a bulky, unsightly light around at all times.

The second type of umbrella light is one that mounts to each vein of the umbrella. These systems consist of several strings of lights which run the length of each vein. The strings attach to a central receptacle which is powered by an extension cord. While some units can be solar powered, I find that the wall powered versions provide more reliable and powerful light. Regardless of the chosen lighting method, they all allow for convenient lighting to be used throughout the night.
