Bathroom Vanity Light Fixtures
Our recent home improvements have centred entirely on dragging our bathroom kicking and screaming into the 21st century. Anyone who has undertaken anything similar recently will know just how disruptive the work is, and how rewarding it is when everything is finished.
My main dislike is choosing the materials to use, things like tiles and bathroom vanity light fixtures. I’m no designer, so getting everything to coordinate and be functional, is a real chore for me. Luckily I have a friend who does this stuff for a living and she helped me pick out everything I needed. You can tell now that the bathroom renovation is finished that a professional was involved in the design process. If you are planning anything similar, my advice would be use a designer to help you choose your finishing.
One thing you can do without the help of a designer is to decide that any bathroom lighting fixtures that you install are going to help reduce your energy bills and help the environment. LED lamps are available in many varieties but you will need to know what type of lamp base your new fixtures require. Some will screw in like a standard incandescent bulb while others will have a pronged base like the LED GU10 lamp that will not work in a traditional fixture. So have fun selecting (or watching as your designer selects) your new lighting fixtures and enjoy the money saving benefits of your energy efficient bathroom lighting fixtures.
