Bizarre Canopy Bed Clique
OK, now I’ve had my fair share of people look down their nose at me, for one reason or another, but I think I’ve now seen it all. Forget about the mile high club, I can only conclude that there is also a canopy bed owners club too. Basically I went to this soiree (yes that’s the best word to describe it) the other night, friends of friends, and I could tell they were well to do. My wife and i are doing pretty well ourselves so we were feeling at ease, but then the subject of bedroom furniture came up and everyone round the table started talking about their canopy bedroom sets! I mean they all had them. It was as if you hadn’t arrived in this town until you’d got yourself the complete canopy bedroom set. When they found out that this wasn’t really our style… you could have heard a pin drop.
