Choosing Your Wedding Jewelry
Its tradition in the west to wear our wedding rings on the third finger of the left hand. This is a custom which dates back to the times of the Egyptians and was also used by the Romans. Wedding rings were originally intended for use by woman but they are now worn also by men and you can find matching his and her sets which take much of the hassle out of trying to find the perfect rings for your wedding day.
The difference in the wedding rings for male and female come down to size due to the natural difference in size of mens and womens fingers. Usually made from either white or yellow gold, or platinum they are a relatively simple and plain piece of wedding jewelry, especially when compared to the more expensive engagement ring. This doesn’t mean that you won’t want to put a lot of thought into the wedding rings you choose. Hopefully you will have the ring on your finger for the rest of your life so you will want to ensure you have one you like.
