Do Hair Implants Grow After Surgery
The short answer is yes hair implants do grow. That is really the whole point of having the hair transplant surgery. You want to get hair actually growing in the bald spot instead of just covering it up with a hair piece or toupee. There has been some use of artificial hair implants but they are no longer allowed in the US. I have seen ads for a hair restoration doctor in India who does artificial implants but they are really a problem. For one thing they don’t grow so that means they are always the same length which limits syling options. There also were problems with infection as it is a foreign object that is being introduced into the scalp.
Hair grafts are a different matter. It is your own hair that is transplanted into the balding area so it will grow just like the natural hair once it is established. So the question do hair implants grow is a good question and the answer is a resounding, if they are the proper kind they will.
