Hunting For Cheap Wedding Rings
The hunt for a wedding or engagement ring is never easy. This is especially true in times like these, when the economy is tight and people are trying to tighten the purse strings, rather than spend more. If you are one of the young couples looking for wedding rings however, do not worry – there are actually a lot more options out there than you might imagine.
As far as price goes, if you are looking for cheap wedding rings, you will be surprised at how many options you have. The good news is that diamonds are going out of style (what with the whole conflict diamond fiasco, and the negative publicity that it created for diamond firms). The fact that diamonds are no longer in vogue means that there are a lot of other cheap alternatives out there. For example, consider getting an eternity band – these can be made from any number of metals, and are generally very good looking. There are very few kinds of rings that are as elegant as one of these made of brushed platinum.
There are also a whole other range of stones out there that most people in western culture have never had the opportunity to experiment with. For example, have you ever seen anyone wearing a sapphire wedding ring? Probably not, but they are absolutely stunning. The same thing goes for rubies, which are a very deep red (as opposed to the azure blue sparkle of the sapphire). And then there are emeralds, which are startlingly green and usually cut very sharply to emphasize the dazzling green interplay of light; and, of course, amethysts, which can be found in more shades of purple than most people even know exist. Most of these stones have not seen much use in wedding rings due to the dominance of the diamond over the last few decades, but we firmly believe that they all look better than diamonds – and perhaps more pertinently, they are a lot cheaper. Buyers now have more choice than ever, and at a great price.
