Long Haired Dog
Long haired dogs require a tone of grooming, but I think owning one is well worth the effort. Keeping their locks lovely is easy is long as you keep on top of it daily. Some extremely long haired dogs like Shih Tzu, will actually make you take your carpet out of your house. It rips the hair and is an ideal breeding ground for parasites. And that is another key component to keeping your dog’s coat in awesome shape, flea control. Spray your yard at least twice a year, and if you do have carpet shampoo it monthly. I like to sprinkle 20 mule team borax in my carpet and let it sit over night, vacuuming it up the next morning. Always comb your long haired dog before you bathe it, or the tangles will be awful when the dog dries. All these tips will really help those of you with bad dog allergies. The horse product Show Sheen is pretty nice to spray in their hair too.
