Magnetic Sponsoring Teaches Good Customer Service
How to Listen to Your Customers
How often have you purchased a product at your favorite store and find you need to visit customer service, only to get nowhere with your concerns. Now imagine that very same scenario only this time, you’re the business. If you wouldn’t want to be the victim of a bad customer service experience, why would you allow your business to do the same?
One of the worst complaints people have is bad customer service. Why? Because businesses don’t listen to their customers. While they are eager to make a sale, they’re not eager to break a sale. If something goes wrong, they don’t want to deal with the situation. They’re only there to make a profit.
If you don’t want to lose business, don’t let this be you. Change the way you view your sales and listen to what your customer has to say.
First of all, forget trying to tell your customer what they think they need. In most circumstances you need to consider your customer’s needs.
For example, if a customer tells you they can’t complete the course you just sent them, don’t assume it’s because they just don’t have the desire to do it. Your customer may have a very good reason on why they can’t complete that course. So ask questions before you assume.
Next, don’t think that your job is over once your customer walks out the door with your product. This is one of the worst mistakes many businesses make. Just because you’ve made a sale doesn’t mean that customer won’t want to come back for more or send another potential sale your way. If they come back with a concern a week or even a month later, let them know they have your attention.
And never force your product onto someone who doesn’t really want it. In the end pushy salespeople never win. So, if the person is looking for a red couch, but you only have green, don’t push them into buying the green unless you want them to go to a competitor. If you treat your customers with the respect they deserve, in the end everyone is a winner
