Pub Quiz
A pub quiz is the term for a quiz held in a public house setting. These general knowledge games often attract numbers of people to the pub that are not necessarily regular customers. Most games or competitions have a standard format in which several teams write down answers to the questions asked by a quizmaster. Sometimes the questions are divided into subject specific rounds. For example the first round could be sports related questions, the second round music and so on.
After all the questions have been asked the quizmaster will normally collect each teams answer sheets before proceeding with the correct answers. In some quizzes the quizmaster will ask each team to swap their sheet with another and to mark their rival’s answers. Once the sheets have been marked the scores are totaled and the winning team is announced. Usually there is a prize for the winning team.
