Scrubbing Acne Scars for the Better

Scrubbing, or as the professionals will call, microdermabrasion, is an acne scar removal process that involves using an abrasive disc to grind the surface of the scar.  Not only does this smooth and contour the scar, but it also lightens its color so it’s not as noticeable.  Of course if you have a dark pigmented skin this could make the noticeability worse.

Unfortunately this process is incapable of grinding very deep as it would wound the face further.  If your acne scarring runs deep often microdermabrasion can be used as a pretreatment for a cream or chemical peel.  Make sure you don’t attempt any of the procedures on your own and let any dermatologist know about any skin problems you’ve had even those not related to your acne.
