Tips for Choosing Outdoor Furniture Cushions
Perhaps you have just invested in some new outdoor dining furniture, and are very pleased with your purchase. Then you sit down in one of the chairs, and realize you have forgotten a very important accessory: seat cushions.
While selecting cushions for your outdoor furnishings is not a major task, there are a few things you should keep in mind as you start looking.
First, consider how high the chair seats are. This will determine how thick the cushions should be. You may think that this is not all that important, until you have a cookout, and the only person whose feet are not dangling when they sit down is the former basketball player.
Next, make sure that the cushions are made from high-quality, water-resistant fabric. True, you will want to bring them in when the weather threatens, but you may not always have time if a sudden thunderstorm blows in and everyone is scrambling for cover.
Finally, you should give as much thought to color and pattern for your outdoor furniture as you would indoors. Remember, your guests will likely see the table and chairs on the patio as well as the set in the dining room. Looks do matter.
