Why try a shaving brush
Many who change from shaving cream to a shaving brush and soap are also making the change from disposable razors to a classic double edge razor. The blades used for a double edge razor are of a much higher quality for shaving than the disposable razor blade.
Many men find that switching to a good quality double edge razor and using a shaving brush allows them to get the close shave that they desire and prevents razor rash and bumps. This is especially important among those with sensitive skin types. You may find these razors used in many places, although the current trend toward wet shaving has increased the prices of these forty to fifty year old razors. There are many good double edge razors that are currently being manufactured today.
Others prefer to go directly to the straight razor. Straight razors require a strop and must be sharpened with each use. Some wet shaving fans claim that use of a straight razor gives the best possible shave.
